I have lived in Baltimore my entire life. I love my city but the news media and portrayal of our city in movies like “The Corner” and “The Wire” would make you believe that’s all there is to Baltimore. That is not the case. Of course there are areas that are bad and there are bad people just like in every other city in America.
I grew up in a rough neighborhood but I was fortunate to have a family that believed in doing the right things. A family that always told me that is isn’t about where you live but how you live. I had active role models that pushed me to be better and to be the change I want to see in the world.
Each week I want to Celebrate the good in Baltimore. Showcasing people, organizations, and businesses doing great things in our city. A change of pace from the news and their constant need to show the worst. So if you know someone that is doing great things in the city of Baltimore please submit their information so I can share the great things that are happening that we don’t get to hear about.
