Ms. Connie’s Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter (unsalted)
  • 1 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Molasses
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 cups Oats (Old Fashioned not Quick)
  • 2 cups Raisins
  • 1 1/2 cup Cinnamon Sugar (1 1/2 cup sugar minus a tablespoon & 1 tablespoon of cinnamon)

Directions

1. Heat Oven to 350 degrees
2. Combine dry ingredients. Flour, Baking Soda, Cinnamon and Salt
3. Beat Butter and Sugar together until creamy.
4. Add Molasses, Eggs and Vanilla. Mix well.
5. Add flour mixture slowly.
6. Add oats and raisins. Mix well.
7. Using a cookie scoop (or tablespoon), drop dough into cinnamon sugar and roll until uniformly coated.
8. Bake on an ungreased or lined cookie sheet for 10 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute before removing from the cookie sheet.

This recipe is as close as it gets to my grandmother's Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. She has so many recipes with secret ingredients no one knows.
